Post 71 supports numerous “local programs” including:

 

  • Ceremonial Honor Guard averaging 50 military funerals annually.
  • Boys State and Girls State educational programs.
  • Nathan Wolf Law Cadet Academy.
  • American Legion Riders Legacy Scholarship.
  • Memorial and Veterans Day Ceremonies.
  • Support for Wade Hampton Veterans park.
  • Support for:
    • JROTC
    • Legion Baseball
    • Sea Scout Ship 71
  • Local Veteran support through hospital and homebound visits.
  • Wreaths Across America.
  • Flag education.
  • Post 71 Museum honoring veterans.
